Breeder Biography

Great Wisco Eurasiers was established in 2023 by Tanya and Ed Brady. We are located in South Eastern Wisconsin near Kenosha.

Always attracted to the spitz and northern breeds, we had Pomeranians and Giant breed Alaskan Malamutes prior to getting our first Eurasier. Ed found this breed in a puppy magazine in 1994 and it sounded like a great fit, we even visited a Wisconsin breeder near that time, but being a rare breed it was not something we could bring into our home yet. In 2016 we joined the United States Eurasier Club (USEC). Shortly after that we acquired our first Eurasier, TLC Eurasiers Brady’s Kodak. We had the intent to breed and the original plan was to start with the male. Ed quickly became active in the USEC by being a Regional Rep, and organized Eurasier gatherings in our area. We sadly lost our first baby boy Kodak to blastomycosis at a very young age. Though heartbroken we moved forward to pursue our dream of breeding Eurasiers. We were able to bring Pacific Coast’s Thy Great Canuck into our home in 2018. He is a very fun loving boy but did not pass all of the required health tests to breed. Being a part of the USEC and following their policies is something we value and feel is important to preserve the integrity of the breed. Tanya had become active in the USEC by being voted into a Board of Director position in 2020. In Fall of 2020 we welcomed our baby girl Wiskota’s Betrothal of Sitka’s Great Purple Reign into our home. After she had passed all her health tests we then worked with the USEC breeding Committee to evaluate favorable pairings. We love this breed and also love our Eurasier Community and support we have received from the USEC.
Our Sitka girl is on the larger side for a female and we will plan to always breed her to a male on the larger side as well, with the intent to breed puppies that will fall in the mid to upper spectrum of size. Producing well adjusted puppies is important to us. This starts with Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) in the first week of age. At two weeks of age, we begin socialization by inviting many different people to our home. Throughout the puppy raising process, different experiences and sounds are introduced. Aspects of the Puppy Culture philosophies are also followed to begin potty training and obedience training.

We will always remain as a support to the owners of our puppies and love to connect with them (owners can never send too many pictures and updates). We are also very committed to breeding healthy puppies, this is why we encourage future health testing and offer rebates for health testing to our non breeding puppy owners. The more health data we have the more beneficial it will be to the future health of the breed.
Feel free to visit our Facebook page, Great Wisco Eurasiers, to view highlights of our breeding experiences and updates on the puppies as they grow. We are always open to visitors to meet our Eurasiers and to visit puppies when we have them.
